Per our discussion , San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division stated that they would allow us to analyze for Total Lead using a different method other than 7421 as long as the Regional Water Quality Control Board accepts the use of that alternative method . Our subcontractor lab stated the following regarding the method : 7421 is a method that isn ' t used vary often anymore . It is a bit outdated . It has been replaced with newer technology/ instruments . The 6010 detection limit for Pb is 0 . 5mg/kg . Can you please let me know if you would accept us analyzing for total lead using method 6010B ? I appreciate your time and guidance . I� z
