Pershing Ave
Stockton, CA 95207
Dear Ms. Florido,
In response to the inspection conducted on April 11, 2019 at Store#01263 in Stockton,
California, please see the outline below, and the exhibits which follow, referencing existing
procedures, documentation and/or actions taken:
• The floor cleaner used by the stores, GS Neutral Cleaner Concentration, is non-hazardous
and can be disposed of in the trash. I've included the safety data sheet here as an
attachment. However, to lessen any potential confusion for store management on
processing chemicals as waste, we are directing the stores to process empty packets or
damaged floor cleaner in their hazardous waste program.
• The emergency coordinator was identified(Store Manager) and her 24/7 phone number
was added to the contact list. The emergency contingency plan was posted at the front of
store and is accessible by all associates (EXHIBIT A).
• The Store Manager and three Assistant Store Managers have been trained/retrained on the
company's CA hazardous waste program(EXHIBIT B).
• The hazardous waste items found in an unlabeled tote at the front of the store were taken
to the hazardous waste accumulation area and processed.
• Our hazardous waste vendor, Stericycle, submits manifests to the DTSC on behalf of the
company. Please see the vendor letter of responsibility(EXHIBIT Q.
CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS
500 Volvo Parkway Chesapeake, Virginia 23320 Tel 757-321-5000 Fax 757-321-5292 www.dollartree.com
