I
IQuarterl ort - June 1998
Y Report
I MARLOWE PROPERTY
4648 East Waterloo Road, Stockton, California
1.0. INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK
In accordance with a request from Mr Jonathan Marlowe,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc (AGE)
has prepared this Quarterly Report for 4648 East Waterloo Road, Stockton, California The location
of the site and the inunediateIy surrounding area are illustrated on Figure 1 Site structures and
Imonitoring well locations are depicted on Figure 2
The objective of the work was to monitor dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations in ground
water and to characterize ground water flow direction and gradient on the site This report is
prepared in accordance with guidelines established by the San Joaquin County Public Health
' Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and by the Central Valley Regional Water
Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) for investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites A
summary of previous investigations at the site was included in the Quarterly Report-April 1996,
dated 12 June 1996, prepared by AGE
I2.0. PROCEDURES
21 MONITORING WELL PURGE PROCEDURES
On 08 June 1998, the depth to ground water was measured to the nearest 0 01 foot from the tops of
the well casings in monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-6 and VW-1 utilizing a Solinst water level
meter Ground water elevations from MW-1 through MW-6 were calculated by subtracting the
measured depth to ground water from the surveyed casing elevations (Table 1) Ground water
elevations with respect to mean sea level were plotted and contoured on a scaled site map (Figure
3)
After water levels were measured, approximately 10 to 21 gallons of ground water (a minimum of
three well volumes per well) were removed from wells MW-1, MW-5, MW-6 and VW-1 utilizing
a two-stage submersible pump Temperature, pH and conductivity were measured for stabilization
at regular purge volume intervals from each well using an ICM Model 52200 water analyzer
Dissolved oxygen in purged water was measured at each well using a YSI Model 55 Dissolved
Oxygen Meter at the conclusion of each purge process Stabilization data and field logs are included
' with Appendix A Purged ground water was containerized in 55-gallon drums and was stored on-site
In an area lacking general public access
•
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
