' Ground Water Monitoring Report - Fourth Quarter 2000
' MARLOWE PROPERTIES
4696 East Waterloo Road (Formerly 4648 East Waterloo Road), Stockton, CA
I1.0. INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK
I Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE)has prepared this quarterly report for 4696 East Waterloo
Road (Formerly 4648 East Waterloo Road), Stockton, California The site setting is illustrated on
Figure 1 Site structures and monitoring well locations are depicted on Figure 2
The objectives of the work were to monitor dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations in
ground water and to characterize ground water flow direction and gradient A summary of previous
investigations at the site was included in the AGE-prepared Quarterly Report -April 1996, dated 12
June 1996
I2.0. PROCEDURES
' This report is prepared in accordance with guidelines established by the Central Valley Regional
Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) for investigation of underground storage tank (UST)
sites Sampling of the ground water monitoring wells was conducted in accordance with guidelines
issued by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division
(PHS-EHD)
I
21 MONITORING WELL PURGE PROCEDURES
On 27 December 2000 depths to ground water were measured in wells MW-1 through MW-6 from
the tops of the well casings to the nearest 0 01-foot utilizing a Solinst water level meter The ground
' water elevation in each well was calculated by subtracting the measured depth to ground water from
the surveyed casing elevations (Table 1) Ground water elevations for MW-1, MW-5 and MW-6
were plotted and contoured on a scaled site map (Figure 3) Ground water elevations from wells
I MW-2, MW-3 and MW-4 were not used to infer ground water flow direction because these wells
are screened from 80 to 100 feet
I After water levels were measured, approximately 12 gallons of ground water (a minimum of three
water-casing volumes)were removed from wells MW-1, MW-5, and MW-6 utilizing a Grundfos
Redi-Flo submersible pump Ground water pumping was initiated at the top of the water column and
' the pump was slowly lowered to total depth to purge ground water within the well casing
Temperature,pH and conductivity were measured for stabilization at three-gallon intervals from each
I well using a Hydac water analyzer Field data and logs are included in Appendix A Purged ground
water was containerized in 55-gallon drums and was stored on-site in an area lacking general public
. access
Advanced GeoEnviroumental,Inc
I
