26 January 2001
AGE-NC Project No 95-0104
I MW-6 during the December 2000 ground water monitoring event Is depicted In Figure 3 and shown
on Table 1
Ground water flow direction was Inferred to be toward the east at a gradient of 0 003 ft/ft, or
approximately 16 feet per mile (Figure 3) Ground water was approximately 2 55 feet above the
screen interval at MW-5 and 7 08 feet above the screen Interval at MW-6 Therefore these wells are
"drowned", and may yield samples more representative of deeper ground water conditions rather
than that of shallowest ground water, which Is commonly the more Intensely Impacted by petroleum
hydrocarbons Monitoring well MW-1 Is screened across the top of the saturated zone
I3 2 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
TPH-g was detected in the water samples collected from wells MW-1, MW-5 and MW-6 at
concentrations of 150 micrograms per liter(µg/1), 140 ,ug/l and 330 µg/l, respectively
BTEX compounds were detected in the ground water samples at concentrations as high as 17 ,ug/l,
10 53 µg/l, 11 µg/1 and 49µg/1, respectively
Fuel oxygenated compound were not detected at concentrations above laboratory reporting limits
in the ground water samples collected Analytical results of the ground water samples are
summarized in Table 2 The laboratory reports (McCampbell Analytical Inc Lab I D No 57030
through 57032) and chain-of-custody forms are presented in Appendix B
4 0 DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSIONS
IBased on data collected during the June and July 2000 environmental activities, AGE concludes
• Ground water flow direction In the area of MW-1, MW-5 and MW-6 was toward the east at
a gradient of 0 003 ft/ft, or approximately 16 feet per mile (Figure 3)
' • Low concentrations of dissolved TPH-g and BTEX compounds are present in the area bound
by wells MW-1, MW-5 and MW-6
•
IAdvanced GeaEnvironmental,Inc
I
