Minimum number of soil samples per tankysize'. <br /> 2. Vocation of soil samples. <br /> 3. Notation of groundwater's absence. <br /> 4. Utilization of" driven-tube type hammer." <br /> 5. Proper sample collection/documentation/delivery to certified <br /> laboratory. j <br /> i <br /> Two samples were obtained for each tank, oneat each of the tank ends. <br /> There was no evident groundwater or product on the floor of the <br /> excavation. Three to six inches of soil was scraped from the surface <br /> prior to sampling with a veihmeyer hammer. The sample tube ends were <br /> covered with aluminum foil, capped, taped with plastic tape, labeled <br /> and secured in a cooler on ice. <br /> I i1 <br /> The samples were delivered to GTEL..Environmental Zaboratory in Concord_ <br /> the same afternoon under chain-of-custody (copy attached)' with a <br /> request for analyses as follows: I <br /> T.P.H. diesel: extraction - 3550 - GC/FID 8015 modified <br /> BTEX: GC/P.I.D. -` 8020 <br /> A 24 hour turnaround was requested, and verbal results were <br /> communicated within that time frame:.
