For the area within 2,000 feet of the site, seven water well completion reports were on file at the <br /> California Department of Water Resources (DWR) None of these wells were found, during <br /> reconnaissance The entire site vicinity appeared to be connected to California Water Service, <br /> and none of its water supply wells existed within the site vicinity The site vicinity is almost entirely <br /> commercial property, and city and county government buildings No schools, hospitals, or other <br /> potential sensitive receptors were observed in the site vicinity The nearest school to the site <br /> appeared to be the Trinity Lutheran School at 444 American Street, approximately 2,100 feet <br /> northeast of the site The nearest surface water body to the site was McLeod Lake at Weber <br /> Point, approximately 1,000 feet west of the site No receptors appeared to be threatened by the <br /> gasoline compounds in soil and groundwater beneath the site <br /> On May 3, 2004, EHD requested that a site conceptual model be submitted so that the case could <br /> be evaluated for regulatory closure On July 30, 2004, Ramage Environmental published Site <br /> Conceptual Model <br /> r <br /> On November 1, 2005, EHD met with representatives of the San Joaquin County Facilities <br /> Management Department In a letter summarizing the meeting dated November 17, 2005, EHD <br /> states that <br /> Thera is a sand lens at 35 feet bgs at this site that may be a migratory pathway for the <br /> MTBE contamination It was discussed that placement of soil bongs up-gradient <br /> (southwest) and cross-gradient(southeast) of MW-1 and obtaining soil samples and grab <br /> water samples from 35 feet bgs may provide definition for the site If those samples are <br /> non-detect then the site should be evaluated to see if further investigation is needed <br /> 6 <br />
