r
1
3.0 CONCLUSIONS, RECOMMENDATIONS AND PROJECT STATUS
1
Between March 23, and June 29, 2005, the groundwater surface rose an average of 0 72 feet, the
' groundwater gradient decreased from 0 0143 to 0 0104 foot/foot, and the groundwater flow
direction remained toward the northeast These groundwater surface characteristics are
' consistent with historical and seasonal trends
Between March 23, and .tune 29, 2005, gasoline compounds in groundwater generally decreased
' at MW-1, and remained relatively consistent at MW-2 and MW-3 Concentrations of gasoline
compounds in groundwater at MW-1 have generally declined, since the monitoring wells were
' installed in July 2002, probably due to source removal efforts and natural attenuation processes
Since March 2004, concentrations of MTBE have been detected in the perimeter wells (MW-2 and
MW-3) As such, it appears that MTBE has migrated away from the source area in the
downgradient direction, and that the extent of impacted groundwater is undefined
' Ramage Environmental recommends that the plume of impacted groundwater continue to be
monitored on a quarterly basis If the concentrations of MTBE in the perimeter wells continue to
r
increase, it may be necessary to expand the groundwater monitoring well network
1
1
1
i
r
r
r
•
r
r
