r <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> r <br /> On behalf of the San Joaquin County Facilities Management Department, Ramage Environmental <br /> has prepared this Groundwater Monitoring Report, Fourth Quarter 2003 for submittal to the San <br /> Joaquin County Environmental Health Division (EHD) and to the Central Valley Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board (RWQCB) <br /> r <br /> The scope of work was completed according to Ramage Environmental's Work Plan, Monitoring <br /> Well Installations, dated July 16, 2001 On August 3, 2001, EHD approved the work plan <br /> 11 Site Location and Description <br /> The site is a government vehicle and sheriff bus parking area on the east side of the county <br /> courthouse, located at 222 E Weber Avenue in Stockton, California (Figure 1) The parking area <br /> site is approximately 12 feet below street rade, and is accessed by a ramp on the west side of <br /> San Joaquin Street, approximately 150,'Pouth of East Weber Avenue One former 10,000-gallon <br /> gasoline underground storage tank (UST) and a single former gasoline dispenser existed at the <br /> site (Figure 2) <br /> 12 Previous Work <br /> ' 1 2 1 UST System Removal <br /> On August 30, 1996, Fisch Environmental removed the UST system According to the EHD <br /> inspection notes, the tank appeared to be in good condition, but the underground piping was <br /> pitted, rusted, and disintegrating at the joints EHD noted gasoline odor in the excavation <br /> r <br /> Fisch Environmental collected two soil samples from beneath the north end and one soil sample <br /> from beneath the south end of the former UST, two soil samples from beneath the former <br /> underground piping (P1 and P2), and a single soil sample from beneath the former dispenser <br /> (P3) The soil sample locations are shown on Figure 2, and the results of the soil sample <br /> ' analyses are summarized in Table 1 <br /> r <br /> 1 <br /> • 3 <br /> r <br /> r <br />
