3.0 CONCLUSIONS, RECOMMENDATIONS AND PROJECT STATUS
Between November 25 2002n
a d February 19, 2003, the groundwater surface rose an average of
0 40 feet, the groundwater gradient increased slightly from 0 0107 to 0 0112 foot/foot, and the
groundwater flow direction shifted approximately 20 degrees toward the north
' Between November 25, 2002 and February 19, 2003, the concentrations of gasoline compounds
in groundwater continued a general decline, possibly due to source removal efforts and natural
' attenuation processes Gasoline compounds in groundwater continued to be limited to MW-1,
and in close proximity to the former UST The concentration of MTBE in MW-1 declined to below
reporting limits The extent of impacted groundwater appears to be defined to the north by MW-2,
and to the northeast (downgradient) by MW-3
Based on these conclusions, Ramage Environmental recommends that the three monitoring wells
continue to be monitored and sampled on a quarterly basis to evaluate the stability of gasoline
concentrations and groundwater flow and gradient characteristics The next quarterly
' groundwater monitoring event is scheduled for May 2003
1
1
7
