Response for item #106 (common in all stores) is written at the end of the Document. Store 185: #103 - How were the waste determinations made for the items listed in this violation? Provide Safety Data Sheets (SDS)for these items, if applicable. If an SDS is not available, how are employees kept informed of such determinations? Determination was made by product description, examples poster, examining the product label and use of SDS (fabuloso). Employees were made aware of the determination over the phone. Employees must count on their training and tools provided to make future determinations. #106 - This violation is to be corrected by providing employees with hazardous waste re-training (i.e. training on the issues noted in the inspection report), and providing the EHD with proof of such re-training (i.e. a record of employee re-training). See Below Store 433: #102— Provide a hazardous waste manifest used for the items found in the dumpster at the time of inspection. Note: Hazardous waste items were found in totes that were of a different category (AF, CB, CA, etc.)than what the hand-held scanner and/or the Hazardous Waste Poster indicated. Also, in some cases, the scanner would direct the employee to place an item in one type of tote, while the Hazardous Waste Poster indicates to place the same item or type of item into a different tote. - How do employees know whether to follow what the scanner tells them to do, or to follow the Hazardous Waste Poster?
