Wetmore Street, Manteca, California <br /> Dear Mr. Parker: <br /> At the request of Mr. Jeff Southern of Califonlia Hazardous Services,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, <br /> Inc. (AGE) has prepared the enclosed report of soil samples collected and analyzed after removal j <br /> of three underground storage tanks (USTs) at 210 East Wetmore Street, Manteca, California(Figure <br /> 1 - Location Map). <br /> UST REMOVAL AND SAMPLE COLLECTION <br /> One 10,000-gallon diesel UST (TK1), one 10,000-g Ilon leaded gasoline UST (TK2) and one <br /> 10,000-gallon unleaded gasoline UST (TK3) were removed from the site on 05 August 1999. The <br /> USTs were removed by California Hazardous Services of Santa Ana, California, under the <br /> supervision of the San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division <br /> (PHS-EHD). Excavated soil was stockpiled on-site, a 'acent to the excavation. <br /> Two soil samples were collected from beneath each US T and eight samples were collected from the <br /> soil stockpile. Excavation samples were collected from he backhoe bucket after digging into native <br /> soil beneath the former UST locations. Stockpile sam les were collected from approximately one <br /> foot beneath the stockpile surface. Samples were collected by driving clean, 2- by 3-inch brass <br /> sleeves into the soil. Upon retrieval, the ends of the brass sleeve «were covered with Teflon sheets, <br /> capped and sealed with tape. <br /> A11 samples collected were labeled, placed in a chille container and transported under chain-of- <br /> custody to McCampbell Analytical, Inc. (MAI) in Pacheco, a State of California Department of <br /> Health Services (DHS)-certified analytical laboratory. 3oll stockpile samples were composited 2:1 <br /> for analysis.
