' Quarterly Report - Second Quarter 2002 <br /> MANTECA CITY CORPORATION YARD <br />' 210 East Wetmore Street, Manteca, California <br />' 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br />' At the request of Mr Frederic Clark of the City of Manteca, Advanced GeoEnvironrnental, Inc <br /> (AGE)has prepared this quarterly report for the property located at 210 E Wetmore Street,Manteca, <br /> I California The site and the surrounding area are Illustrated on Figure 1 Structures,boring and well <br /> locations are illustrated on Figure 2 Background information is summarized in the AGE-prepared <br /> Additional Site Assessment Work Plan -August 2001, dated 25 January 2001 <br /> I <br /> 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> Seven ground water monitoring wells (MW 1 through MW7) were monitored and sampled in <br /> April 2002 Field work was performed in accordance with guidelines issued by the Central Valley <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) <br />' . 2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION <br /> Ground water sampling of wells MW1 through MW7 was conducted on 18 April 2002 For the <br /> sampling event, a Solmst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in the <br /> seven wells relative to the tops of the well casings The ground water elevations and gradient were <br /> determined from these data(Table 1) <br />' After recording water level measurements disposable plastic bailers were used to purge monitoring <br /> wells MW1 through MW7 of standing water Approximately 6 00 to 6 66 gallons of water <br /> (a minimum of 3 casing water-volumes per well) were removed from wells MW 1 through MW7 <br /> Ground water temperature,pH and conductivity were measured at regular Intervals during purging <br /> in MW I through MW7 using an Oakton water analyzer Purged ground water was containerized in <br /> properly labeled DOT-approved model 17H 55-gallon drums and was stored on-site Field sheets and <br /> data are included In Appendix A <br /> 22 COLLECTION OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES <br /> IWater samples were collected from each purged well using new disposable plastic bailers Each <br /> water sample was transferred Into three 40-m1 VOA vials containing 0 5 ml 18%hydrochloric acid <br />' as a sample preservative and into one 1-liter amber bottle without sample preservative After <br /> collection, the samples were properly labeled, placed in a chilled container and transported under <br /> IAdvanced GeoEnvironmcntal,Inc <br />
