31 August 2005
AGE-NC Project No 95-0109
fluctuated between-243 5 millivolts (mV) in well MW-2 and 212 4 mV in well MW-5 Dissolved
Oxygen measurements ranged from 0 32 mg/1 in well MW-1 to 10 53 mg/l in well MW-9 ORP and
DO measurements are provided in Table I
r
3 2 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
' TPH-g, TPH-d and BTEX were not detected in ground water sample collected from wells MW-1
through MW-10 during the November 2004, February 2005 and May 2005 sampling events
MTBE was detected in November 2004 and February 2005 in samples collected from wells MW-1,
MW-2, MW-4 through MW-6, MW-9 and MW-10, the maximum MTBE concentration of 2,000
' micrograms per liter (µg/l) was detected in the November 2004 sample collected from MW-5
MTBE was not detected in the ground water samples collected from wells MW-1 through MW-10
during the May 2005 sampling event, the May 2005 sampling event is the first time since sampling
' began at the site that MTBE was not detected in wells MW-4 and MW-5 Analytical results of
MTBE from August 2004 to May 2005 are included in Table 2 Analytical results of historical
ground water samples are presented in Table 3
' 4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
Based on the findings from this investigation, AGE concludes
' ORP measurements ranged between-243 5 millivolts(mV)in well MW-2 and 212 4 mV in
well MW-5 during monthly monitoring events conducted between August 2004 and May
' 2005 No distinct oxidation trends were observed(Figure 3), because the ozone system was
not operational between October 2004 and February 2005
• Dissolved Oxygen measurements ranged from 0 32 mg/I in well MW-1 to 10 53 mg/1 in well
' MW-9 No distinct DO trends were observed (Figure 4), because the ozone system was not
operational between October 2004 and February 2005
• Concentrations of MTBE in ground water samples collected from wells MW-1 through
MW-10 between August 2004 and May 2005 have decreased to non detect Dissolved MTBE
concentrations have been declining slowly over time, but the May 2005 sampling event was
the first time that MTBE was not detected in samples collected from wells MW-4 and
MW-5 Graphs illustrating concentrations of MTBE over time in wells MW-1 and MW-10
are presented in Appendix A
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
