�9 <br /> Quarterly Report - First Quarter 2004 <br /> MANTECA CITY CORPORATION YARD <br /> 210 East Wetmore Street, Manteca, California <br /> I1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Frederic Clark of the City of Manteca, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc <br /> (AGE) has prepared this quarterly report for the property located at 210 East Wetmore Street, <br /> Manteca, California The site and the surrounding area are illustrated on Figure 1 Structures and <br /> well locations are illustrated on Figure 2 <br /> 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> Ten ground water monitoring wells (MW1 through MW10) were monitored and sampled on <br /> 18 February 2004 Field work was performed in accordance with guidelines issued by the Central <br /> Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB) for the investigation of underground <br /> storage tank (UST) sites <br /> 2 1 WELL MONITORING AND PURGING <br /> On 18 February 2004, the depth to ground water in all ten monitoring wells was measured from the <br /> Itop of each well casing to the nearest 0 01-foot utilizing a Solinst water level meter Ground water <br /> elevation in each well was calculated by subtracting the measured depth to ground water from the <br /> Isurveyed casing elevation(Table 1) <br /> After water levels were measured, between 4 75 and 6 0 gallons of water (a minimum of 3 casing- <br /> water volumes per well)were purged from monitoring wells MW I through MW 10 using dedicated, <br /> disposable plastic bailers Ground water temperature,pH and conductivity were measured at regular <br /> intervals during purging using an Oakton water analyzer Field sheets and data are included in <br /> Appendix A Purged waterwas stored in properly labeled DOT-approved 55-gallon drums and stored <br /> on-site <br /> 22 COLLECTION OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES <br /> Water samples were collected from each purged well using new disposable plastic bailers after <br /> allowing the wells to achieve a mimmum 80%recovery of the pre-purge water volume Each water <br /> sample was transferred into one 1-liter amber bottle without sample preservative and into three <br /> 40-m1 volatile organic analysis (VOA) vials containing 0 5 ml 18% hydrochloric acid as a sample <br /> preservative After collection, the samples were properly labeled, placed in a chilled container and <br /> . transported under chain-of-custody to McCampbell Analytical,Inc (MAI),a California Department <br /> I of Health Services-certified analytical laboratory, for analysis The samples were analyzed for <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
