Specifically, this review will include: <br /> review of data package completeness <br /> review of the required reporting summary forms to determine if the QC requirements <br /> were met and to determine the effect of exceeded QC requirements on the precision, <br /> accuracy, and sensitivity of the data <br /> • review of additional QA/QC parameters, such as field duplicates and field blank <br /> contamination, to determine technical usability of the data <br /> application of standard data quality qualifiers to the data <br /> In addition, each data validation will include a comprehensive review of the following <br /> QA/QC parameters as indicated in the National Functional Guidelines: <br /> holding times (to assess potential for degradation that will affect accuracy) <br /> • blanks (to assess contamination for all compounds) <br /> • System Monitoring Compounds (to assess method accuracy) <br /> MS/MSD or Laboratory Fortified Blanks (to assess accuracy of the methods and <br /> precision of the method relative to the specific sample matrix) <br /> Internal Standards (to assess method accuracy and sensitivity) <br /> Target Compound Identification <br /> Compound Quantitation Limits (to assess sensitivity as compared to project-specific <br /> requirements) <br /> System Performance (to assess accuracy and precision) <br /> Field Duplicate RPDs (to assess precision of the method relative to field sampling <br /> techniques, the specific sample matrix, and representativeness of the sample aliquot <br /> to the area sampled) <br /> A1.3.2 Data Usability Assessment <br /> LFR will assess perform a data usability assessment. The usability assessment will be <br /> performed based on Guidance for Data Usability in Risk Assessment (U.S. EPA 1992) <br /> and best professional judgment. LFR will delineate major and minor deficiencies in the <br /> data, their effects on the reported results, and determination of usability for each <br /> compound reported in each sample included in the data package. The usability <br /> assessment will provide an overall summary of data quality, defining acceptability or <br /> problems with accuracy, precision, sensitivity, and representativeness of the results with <br /> clear guidance to the data users (e.g., risk assessors) of the uncertainties in the data <br /> Sampling Plan for Small Waste Disposal Areas (final).doc A-3 <br />
