In addition, the START, with the assistance of the U.S. <br /> Coast Guard and the California EPA Integrated Waste Management Board (IWMB), mobilized <br /> to the site on August 20, 1999 and collected soil samples for lithologic logging and geotechnical <br /> laboratory analysis. <br /> The START was also tasked with presenting the laboratory analytical results of two previous <br /> groundwater sampling events. On August 14, 1998, the groundwater of two industrial wells and <br /> one domestic well located in the vicinity of the site was sampled by the START and analyzed by <br /> a laboratory for contaminants of concern. On March 12, 1999, the groundwater of the three wells <br /> was re-sampled by the START.
