FAR disposable earplugs or ear muffs attached to hard hat, where <br /> applicable; <br /> Head: Hard Hat; <br /> 7.3.3 Level D -- Operations <br /> The following level of protection can be utilized at the Tracy Tire Fire Remediation <br /> Project when individuals are within the support zone as well as in other areas when <br /> disturbance activities are not approximated. These activities and/or personnel include: <br /> LFR personnel conducting confirmation sampling when not impacting removal <br /> operations; <br /> Personnel within the Support Zone; <br /> Truck drivers, prior to and after loading of trucks. <br /> Level D Ensemble: <br /> Respirator: No respiratory protection reQuired; <br /> Body: Work uniform or normal construction site attire; <br /> Foot. Boots [steel toed not reQuired]; <br /> Hand: Gloves, when approximating hazardous materials; <br /> Eye: Safety glasses, where Flying particles are present; <br /> Ear. FAR disposable earplugs or eQuivalent; <br /> Head. Hard Hat, when overhead danger can occur. <br /> 7.4 Upgrading and Downgrading <br /> Downgrading from Modified Level C to Level C personnel protection for Exclusion Zone <br /> personnel or to Level D for CRZ personnel will only be permitted when laboratory analyses <br /> shows that concentrations in the exclusion zone are appropriate for downgrading. However, <br /> personnel performing confirmation sampling and/or oversight, who stay upwind of the <br /> disturbance activities and do not play an active role in disturbance activities will be allowed to <br /> downgrade. Once the remediation is completed and soil covering activities have commenced, <br /> the situation will be re-evaluated in terms of downgrading all onsite personnel to Level D <br /> protection. <br /> 7.4.1 Level B <br /> In addition, Sukut will outfit the heavy eQuipment in the exclusion zone with air-line respirators <br /> eQuipped with a 5-minute escape cylinder. The high-pressure cylinders would supply air to the <br /> operator and will be fitted to the particular piece of eQuipment the operator is using [i.e., <br /> excavator, rock trucks, etc.].
