sb <br /> 9.5 Communications <br /> Several warning systems may be utilized depending on the work site conditions or emergency <br /> involved. Verbal instructions between workers are typically adeQuate to communicate steps that <br /> are required in emergency situations. In cases where parts of the crew are distant from the <br /> center of activity, vehicle horns may be necessary to indicate site emergencies. This type of <br /> communication needs to be followed by verbal instructions for necessary emergency actions. <br /> 9.5.1 External Communications <br /> External communications necessary for off-site transmission will consist of cellular <br /> telephones and a hard phone line located in the main Support Zone trailer. <br /> 9.5.2 Internal Communications <br /> Internal communications will consist of a combination of two-way hand held radios and <br /> hand signals selected by the Project Superintendent. <br /> 9.6 Evacuation Routes <br /> 9.6.1 Requirements - All Personnel <br /> In case of an emergency or hazardous situation, the person that observes this condition <br /> shall immediately sound an air-horn alarm.
