LFR Levine-Fricke
normal (20-day) turn-around schedule. Collected groundwater samples were analyzed
for the following:
• volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by EPA Method 8260B
• semivolatile organic compounds (SVOCs) by EPA Method 8270C
• dissolved metals by EPA Method 6020
• dissolved mercury by EPA Method 7470A
• general minerals by several EPA methods (listed in Table 3)
Table 2 provides a summary of the laboratory analytical results. A complete list of
required analytes for the fourth quarter 2003 is included in Table 3.
4.0 RESULTS OF FOURTH QUARTER GROUNDWATER MONITORING
The following sections describe the groundwater gradient and flow direction and
groundwater analytical results.
4.1 Groundwater Elevations and Gradient
Depth-to-groundwater measurements were collected on October 9, 2003, and are
summarized in Table 1 and shown on Figure 5. The measured depth to groundwater
during the October 2003 sampling event ranged from 60.93 feet below top of casing
(toc) (MW-2) to 107.94 feet below toc (MW-5). Groundwater elevations in the site
wells ranged from 61.79 feet msI in monitoring well MW-1 to 64.34 feet msl in
monitoring well MW-2. Based on the October 2003 groundwater elevations, the
groundwater flows under a shallow horizontal hydraulic gradient of 0.001 ft/ft toward
the northwest (Figure 5). These results are generally consistent with previous results
for the Site.
4.2 Groundwater Analytical Results
Groundwater samples collected from monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-5 were
analyzed for parameters required by the RWQCB. Table 2 provides a summary of the
analytical results and the laboratory analytical reports are presented in Appendix B.
1/OCs
VOCs were not detected above laboratory reporting limits in samples collected from
wells MW-1 through MW-5 during the fourth quarter 2003 sampling event.
Page 4 TTFS QM1R Q4.03.FINALJEE
