Carbon is in the form of toxics and mutagenic compounds and it is certainly not a <br /> good idea to maintain exposure to these concentrations. For comparison: EC <br /> concentrations in highly-polluted urban air can reach 15 to 20 micrograms, but under <br /> extremely unpleasant conditions. <br /> Note also that the highest concentrations seem to occur late at night in 'spikes', and <br /> then again around 8 AM in periods of longer duration.
