You returned that notice along with a copy of a letter sent to you
on August 19, 1992 by the County. This letter indicated that Pepsi-Cola San Joaquin
Bottling Company (Pepsi-Cola) had been removed as a responsible party for this site because
of a lack of documentation to support naming them. This letter further explained that should
this documentation be provided to the County, they would name Pepsi-Cola responsible.
On March 24, 1993, you were notified by the County (copy enclosed) that information was
received which allowed them to add Pepsi-Cola to the responsible party list. Pepsi-Cola is
responsible for the cleanup costs along with Don Roek, Harold and Dena Knowles and Union
Safe Deposit Bank Exchange Corporation.
m
If you have any questions, please contact me at (916) 227-4325. w
Sincerely,
W lf•
Lori Casias
Local Oversight Program —
Enclosure
cc: Don Rock
Harold and Dena Knowles
Union Safe Deposit Bank,
Exchange Corporation
Linda Turkatte, San Joaquin County
