(Ground Zero) has prepared this report to summarize fieldwork
during the third quarter of 2004. Groundwater related activities
• d at the subject site
, .
conducted J g
included monitoring groundwater elevations in all site wells; sampling groundwater from
monitoring wells MW1 through MW5, MW7 through MW9, MW12, and MW13B though
MW16B; and vapor wells VW1 and VW3.
' Groundwater analysis consisted of total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg), benzene,
toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylenes (BTEX), 1,2 dichloroethane (1,2-DCA), ethylene
dibromide (EDB), and gasoline oxygenate additives [methyl-tert-butyl ether (MTBE), ethyl-
' tent-butyl ether (ETBE), di-isopropyl ether (DIPE), tert-amyl methyl ether (TAME) and tert-
butyl alcohol (TBA)].
' The soil vapor extraction system was not in operation during the quarter.
' GROUNDWATER ACTIVITIES
' Groundwater Monitoring and Sampling
Depth to groundwater was measured on August 24, 2004 in monitoring wells MW 1 through
MW16B and in vapor wells VW1 through VW6. Depth to groundwater was then subtracted
from each respective wellhead elevation to determine groundwater elevation. Water levels at
the site fell an average of 1.4 feet since the second quarter event in May 2004. The
\\GZA FSIVOL—ITATA1GROUNDZEIROEKIQMR1200413gon2004.doe
