OWED,.
STTUS 3330 Cameron Park Drive, Ste 550
ENVIRONMENTAL,INC.. NOV — 8 2005 Cameron Park, California 95682
(530)676-6004--Fax:(530)676-6005
PERMIT/SERVICES
November 4, 2005
Project No. U5469-15-1
I
l Mr. Nuel Henderson
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor
Stockton, California 95202
Re: Well Installation Work Plan, ARCO Station 5469, 130 South Wilson Way,
Stockton, California
Dear Mr. Henderson:
Stratus Environmental, Inc. (Stratus), on behalf of Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO, a
BP-affiliated company) has prepared this Well Installation Work Plan (Work Plan), for
ARCO Station 5469 (the site), located at 130 South Wilson Way, Stockton, California
(see Figure 1). The scope of work presented in this document was prepared pursuant to a
request by San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD), in a letter
dated August 31, 2005. SJCEHD personnel have directed that the installation of three
on-site groundwater monitoring wells be completed at specific locations dictated in the
August 31, 2005 letter. Details associated with completing the requested well
installations are described in the following subsections of this document.
SJCEHD has also requested that the installation of three previously approved off-site
groundwater monitoring wells, that were not installed due to property access issues, now
be completed given that the property is under new ownership, and that a Site Conceptual
Model (SCM) be prepared for the site vicinity. Stratus is proposing to initially install the
requested on-site groundwater monitoring wells, and to prepare the SCM immediately
following completion of on-site well installation. Completion of the off-site groundwater
monitoring wells would subsequently be implemented at a later date, once an access
agreement has been obtained from the property owner, and SJCEHD personnel have
reviewed the SCM.
SITE DESCRIPTION
The subject site is an active service station and convenience store located at the northeast
corner of the intersection of Wilson Way and Washington Street in Stockton, California.
The site dispenses gasoline from two pump islands situated in the southwestern corner of
KABp-Arco for URS15469Mork Plans\Arco5469-well install workplan-2005.doc
d
