Groundwater monitoring data was compiled and evaluated.
3. Stratus continued to pursue access agreements for off-site monitoring wells.
4. Stratus installed KV Associates C-Sparge system and connected it to injection wells IW-1 through
IW-5 on December 3, 2002.
5. Stratus initiated operation of the C-Sparge system on December 26, 2002.
• 6. Stratus advanced one cone penetration test(CPT) boring to a depth of 120 feet below ground surface
(bgs) on November 18, 2002 to evaluate stratigraphic relations beneath the site. Soil and depth-
discrete groundwater samples were collected to evaluate the vertical extent of hydrocarbon impact.
WORK PROPOSED FOR NEXT QUARTER (First 2003):
1. Quarterly groundwater monitoring and sampling will continue at the site. The next sampling event is
tentatively scheduled for March 2003.
2. Groundwater samples will be collected from monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-10 and analyzed for
total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHG), benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, total xylenes
(BTEX), tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA), methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE), di-isopropyl ether (DIPE),
ethyl tertiary butyl ether (ETBE), tertiary amyl methyl ether (TAME), 1,2-Dichloroethane (1,2-DCA),
and ethanol using USEPA Method 8260B.
3.
