Johnson, R.G. <br /> Consultant Project No: U5469-14-4 <br /> Primary Agency/Regulatory ID No: Nuel Henderson, R.G./ San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Services <br /> WORK PERFORMED THIS QUARTER (Second 2003): <br /> 1. Stratus monitored groundwater elevations and collected quarterly groundwater samples from <br /> monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-10 (Figure 2) on May 19, 2003. In addition to quarterly <br /> sampling, additional groundwater samples were collected for parameters identified in the ozone <br /> injection monitoring plan. <br /> 2. Stratus technician(s) visited the site seven times (between March 24, 2003 and June 9, 2003) to <br /> troubleshoot the ozone injection system and to collect field and laboratory parameters as identified in <br /> the monitoring plan for operation of the ozone infection system. <br /> . 3. Stratus complied and evaluated groundwater monitoring data. <br /> WORK PROPOSED FOR NEXT QUARTER (Third 2003): <br /> 1. Quarterly groundwater monitoring and sampling will continue at the site. The next sampling event is <br /> tentatively scheduled for July 2003. <br /> 2. Groundwater samples will be collected from monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-10 and analvzed for <br /> total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHG), benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, total xylenes <br /> (BTEX), tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA), methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE), di-isopropyl ether (DIPE), <br /> ethyl tertiary butyl ether (ETBE), tertiary amyl methyl ether (TAME), 1,2-Dichloroethane (1,2-DCA), <br /> and ethanol using USEPA Method 8260B. <br /> 3. Stratus will operate and maintain the ozone injection system. Field and laboratory parameters <br /> identified in the ozone injection monitoring plan will be collected on a bi-monthly and quarterly basis, <br /> respectively. Groundwater samples will be collected from monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-10 <br /> and analyzed for chemical oxygen demand (COD) using USEPA Method 410.4, oxidation reduction <br /> potential (ORP) using American Standard Testing Method (ASTM) D1498-76, ferrous iron using <br /> Hach Method 8146, heterotrophic plate count using SM92156, nitrite, nitrates and sulfates using <br /> EPA Method 300.0, and Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) using USEPA Method 160.1. <br /> 4. Stratus will prepare and submit a Remedial Action Plan (RAP) evaluating various feasible remedial <br /> alternatives that may be applicable for the subject site.
