INTRODUCTION <br /> rIn accordance with the request of Mr Shanjibhai Ranchhod, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc , <br /> (AGE) has prepared this Preliminary Site Assessment Report (PSAR) for 2007 North Wilson Way, <br /> Stockton, California(the site) The scope of work for this investigation was to test for and assess any <br /> petroleum hydrocarbon-impact beneath the underground storage tank (UST) and dispenser island <br /> area on the site The location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1 -Location Map A plan of the site <br />' is illustrated on Figure 2 - Site Plan <br /> The investigation was performed in accordance with the guidelines of both the San Joaquin County <br /> Public Health Services -Environmental Health Division(PHS-EHD) and the Central Valley Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board for the investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites <br />' 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> 2 1 UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL <br /> It is our understanding that one diesel 15,000-gallon UST was removed from the site in August 1991 <br /> Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as diesel (TPH-d) and volatile aromatics (benzene, toluene, <br /> ethylbenzene and xylenes BTEX) were detected in soil samples collected from the floor of the <br />' excavation after the UST removal <br />' 22 REGIONAL GEOLOGIC SETTING <br /> According to the Geologic Map of Calrfoinia, published in 1977 by the State of California <br /> t Department of Mines and Geology, the site area is within the Great Valley Geomorphtc Province of <br /> California, a large, elongate, northwest trending structural trough The Great Valley Province has <br /> been filled to its present elevation with thick sequences of sediment ranging in age from Jurassic to <br />' present day, creating a nearly flat lying alluvial plain extending from the Tehachapi Mountains in the <br /> south to the Klamath Mountains in the north The western and eastern boundaries of this province <br /> are comprised of the California Coast Range and the Sierra Nevada Mountains, respectively The <br />' Great Valley Province is subdivided into two major divisions designated the Sacramento and San <br /> Joaquin Valleys <br />' Furthermore, based on the General Soil Map from the San Joaquin County Soil Survey, published <br /> by the United States Department of Agriculture Soil Conservation Service in 1992, the site area is <br /> within the Jacktone-Hollenbeck-Stockton(JHS) association The JHS soils are located within basins, <br /> t <br />
