13 June 1997
AGE-NC Project No 97-0330
enforceable limits for TPH-d based on the USEPA"Suggested No Adverse Response Level
(SNARL)" of 100 ug/l Even though ground water samples were not collected,
concentrations of TPH-d detected in soil samples from P-1 and from P-2 were detected below
the CCRWQCB enforceable limits of 100 pg/l
' 6.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
' Based upon data collected from the site, AGE recommends the following
• Although substantial concentrations of TPH-d were encountered in soil samples collected
' from P-1 at 20 feet bsg, and from P-2 at depths of 25 to 35 feet bsg, there does not appear
to be extensive petroleum hydrocarbon-impact at depths greater than 35 feet Ms Margaret
Lagorio of the PHS-EHD has indicated during a telephone conversation that based on the
' rising depth to ground water within the site area, ground water data will be needed at the site
to warrant a site closure Therefore, at least one ground water monitoring well is
recommended within the UST area at the site
7.0. LIMITATIONS
' Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities The findings were based mainly upon
analytical results provided by an independent laboratory Evaluations of the geologic/ hydrogeologic
conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation were made from a limited number of
available data points (soil samples) and subsurface conditions may vary away from these data points
No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made as to the professional recommendations contained
in this report
I
