I <br /> Site Assessment Report - September 1997 <br />' PIE Nationwide <br /> 2007 North Wilson Way, Stockton, California <br />' 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br />' In accordance with the request of Mr Shanaibhai Ranchhod, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc <br /> (AGE) has prepared this Site Assessment Report (SAR) for 2007 North Wilson Way, Stockton, <br /> California (the site) The scope of work for this investigation was to test for and assess the impact <br /> of petroleum hydrocarbons beneath the underground storage tank (UST) and dispenser island area <br /> at the site The scope of work for this site assessment included advancement of two soil borings, <br /> collection of both soil and ground water samples for laboratory analysis, and preparation of this <br /> report The location of the site is illustrated on Figure I - Location Map The locations of structures <br /> and borings on the site are illustrated on Figure 2 - Site Plan <br /> The investigation was performed in accordance with the guidelines of both the San Joaquin County <br /> Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division(PHS-EHD) and the Central Valley Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board for the investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> 2 1 INITIAL INVESTIGATION <br /> IIt is our understanding that one 15,000-gallon underground storage (UST) utilized for diesel fuel was <br /> removed from the site in August 1991 Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as diesel (TPH-d) <br /> I and volatile aromatics (benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes BTEX) were detected in soil <br /> samples collected from the floor of the excavation following the UST removal It is AGE's <br /> understanding that the soil sample from the south end of the tank pit did not contain detectable <br /> concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons <br /> On 14 May 1997, two soil probe borings (P-1 and P-2) were advanced to 25 feet and 50 feet below <br /> surface grade (bsg), respectively, near the former UST and dispenser island area at the site Total <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as diesel (TPH-d) were detected in soil samples collected from <br /> P-I at a depth of 20 feet bsg, and from P-2 at depths between 25 and 50 feet bsg Analytical results <br /> of soil samples collected during the initial investigation are summarized in Table I - Analytical <br /> Results of Soil Samples Soil probe borings P-I and P-2 are depicted in Figure 2 <br /> 22 REGIONAL GEOLOGIC SETTING <br /> According to the Geologic Map of California, published in 1977 by the State of California <br /> Department of l/lines and Geology, the site area is within the Great Valley Geomorphic Province of <br /> California, a large, elongate, northwest trending structural trough The Great Valley Province has <br /> Advanccd Ceolnviroiwiental,Inc <br />
