All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #4 Safety Equipment MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The safety ring is currently lacking a rope that is the width of the pool. Provide to ensure compliance with <br /> safety equipment regulations.A re-inspection will need to be conducted to observed safety ring with rope attached. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use.Pools shall have at <br /> minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br /> rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br /> (CCR 65540) <br /> #16 Water Clarity MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The water for the pool is very murky and it is not possible to see the bottom of the pool.A photo was <br /> taken and will be attached to the official inspection report. Correct immediately. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall maintain clear pool water while pool is in use or shall close the pool if the bottom of the <br /> pool at the maximum depth is not clearly visible from the deck. (CCR 65527) <br /> #29 Recirculation System Operation MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The filtration system for the pool was not operational at this time. The individual who handles <br /> maintenance stated that a control unit has went out due to exposure to the weather and a new one has been ordered.A <br /> re-inspection will need to be conducted in order observe the filtration system while it is operating. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Recirculation system shall be in operation whenever the pool is available for use and additional times as <br /> needed to maintain clear pool water. (CCR 65525) <br /> #3 Safety Signs <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The safety signs provided by the facility contain the proper information but is not very legible. Correct <br /> before operation. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535)Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br /> letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall,pole,gate, or similar <br /> permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified.
