All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The spa currently contains a level of 0.2 PPM for chlorine. Spa closure until the chlorine level is within 3- <br /> 10 PPM range. Correct immediately. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Public pools, when open or in use,shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br /> the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br /> or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools,and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations:3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br /> chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #17 Cleanliness of Pool <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The spa contains debris accumulating on the steps and on the deeper region. Clean and remove all <br /> debris to ensure the cleanliness of the spa is within compliance. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall maintain clean pool water while the pool is in use and shall not allow debris to accumulate <br /> in the pool. Pool operator shall clean the bottom, sides,and other surfaces of the pool as often as necessary to keep pool surfaces clean <br /> and free of slime and algae. (CCR 65533) <br /> #38 Filter Cleaning and Maintenance <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The influent and effluent show a difference of 16 psi. Back wash filter to lower the difference among the <br /> pressures. Correct immediately. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:All filters shall be maintained in accordance with manufacturer's specifications. (CBC 3123B)Pressure gauge <br /> located on the filter shall be marked with the clean startup reading. (CBC 31258)Each filter vessel shall be provided with valves so that it <br /> can be isolated from the recirculation system for repairs and backwashing.
