All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The spa currently contains a chlorine level of 2.8 PPM.Adjust and maintain the chlorine level between 3 <br /> - 10 PPM at all times. Spa closure until a correction can be made. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Public pools, when open or in use,shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br /> the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br /> or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools,and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations:3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br /> chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #12 pH Level MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The pH is currently measured at 7.0 for the spa.Adjust and maintain the pH level to remain between <br /> 7.2-7.8. Spa closure until a correction can be made. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8. (CCR 65530) <br /> #9 Ladders and Handrails <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The handrail to enter the spa is currently loose. Tighten and secure before operation. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:A means of entry and exit shall be provided at both the shallow and deep end of the pool. Ladders and <br /> handrails shall be corrosion resistant and shall be rigidly installed.At least one handrail shall extend from the deck to not less than a point <br /> above the top of the lowest step. Handrails shall be installed between 28 to 36 inches above the steps and deck. (CBC 311 1B)Pool <br /> operator shall keep ladders and handrails well maintained.
