All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. #2 Pool Enclosure OBSERVATIONS:The gate door for the entrance to the pool is no self-closing and does not completely latch. The maintenance personal stated that a work order has been placed and will provide documentation stating so.Will await for documentation and if none are sent then the pool must be closed until a correction has been done. CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool area shall be enclosed by one or more of the following:a fence,portion of a building, wall, or other approved durable enclosure.Pool enclosure shall be constructed over a hard permanent material equivalent to concrete and shall be installed no more than 2 inches above the finished grade. Holes,gaps,or openings in the enclosure shall not allow the passage of a 4-inch diameter sphere.Doors, openable windows,or gates of living quarters shall not be permitted as part of the pool enclosure. (CBC 31198) Pool operator shall keep the pool enclosure well maintained. (CCR 65535) Pool enclosure shall have a minimum effective perpendicular height of 5 feet and shall be constructed so that it cannot be climbed by small children.Horizontal members shall be spaced at least 48 inches apart. No planters or other climbable structures shall be permitted within 5 feet of the pool enclosure or within a 5-foot arc. Chain link openings shall not be larger than 1314 inches when measured horizontally. Pool enclosures with a height of 4 or more feet are allowed if the enclosure was constructed prior to July 1994. (CBC 31198) #3 Safety Signs OBSERVATIONS:The facility currently lacks a safety sign stating to keep the pool gate door closed and a safety sign stating the facility information with includes the name and address. Provide immediately. CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535)Safety signs shall have clearly legible letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall,pole,gate, or similar permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 31206) #22 Skimmer Assembly OBSERVATIONS:The skimmer on the right hand side of the pool currently lacks a float assembly. Provide before the next routine inspection. The skimmer towards the entrance of the pool currently lacks a check valve and a skimmer basket. Provide to ensure all parts of the skimmer are assembled properly. Correct before next routine inspection. Chlorine tablets were observed inside of the skimmer baskets. Remove and only provide chlorine to the body of water through the chlorinator device. CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool shall be equipped to provide continuous skimming of the pool water. All parts of the skimmer shall be maintained in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
