Analysia by capillary GC-FID indicated 4.1 mg/L (ppm)
, a gasoline in sample 209,19-1 .
Air Results: The contents of the tadlar bag (700 mL) t<era
oT onto a tanax trap through the sparge chamber of a
s. u. standard Twkmar liquid sample :=cantrator. After allowing for
=s a sufficient time to purga the sparge chamber, the sampla was
back-flushed onto a GC equipped with a photoionization detector
ra (PID) in series with a flame ionization detector (FID) .
Volatile aromatic hydrocarbon analysis was interpreted in two
ways. EPA i4Iethod 002 analytes were quantified in a straight-
-forward manner and are prasented on the attach-ad data sheet.
In addition, total PID response was calculated versus tha
response of benzene indicating i "total volatile aromatic
hydrocarbon" concentration in sample 20919-2 of about 50 ug/L
.a (ppb) . The same calculation utilizing the FID response
indicated a "total volatile hydrocarbon" concentration of about
440 u.;/L (ppb) .
