Brx 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
Dear Laurie:
This letter is to confirm Guild's commitment to remove contamination
from the soil and ground water in the area north of our plant. Basically,
our plans consist of the following:
a. Determine the extent of soil contamination using borings which
will commence February 4, 1986.
b_ Determine the cost of each of the three methods of clean up that
were mentioned by Mr. Boggs on your last visit to this location.
c. Clean up by the least cost method. !
c If it is determined that excavation is the least cost method, this ex-
cavation will commence during the curing time of the tank bases, if at
all passible. In any event, if excavation is required, the area adjoining
the champagne tank bases will be excavated first during their curing period
so that further excavation will no* interfere with the tank installation.
As the tank installation is very important to Guild Wineries to maintain
their position in the marketplace, I would like to take this opportunity
to thank you for the assistance you have given Mr. Forquer in expediting
this matter.
Silyres,
Rubeser
e President rG'
-- --- --- --- perations- - --- --------- .V0

RM:ih
G V IL LJ Wineries and Distilleries One Winemasters'Way, Lodi,California 95240 (204)368-5151
