Three soil borings and
three monitoring wells were installed. a investigation was considered completed
and the site was closed on February 03, 1994. The three monitoring wells were
destroyed, and the three active,30 year -old, fiberglass-lined underground storage
tanks (UST)were upgraded and remain d in the ground until 1999.
10/13/98 6 Geoprobe soil borings were advancec by the responsible party's (RP) consultant,
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. (AGE),at the east and west ends of the 3 UST
as required by EHD to determine if an inauthorized release had occurred.
10/21/98 EHD received fax of analytical results of the collected soil and grab groundwater
samples. The grab groundwater samples indicated presence of diesel range
compound, but the soil samples were n on-detect. No corresponding report was
submitted to EHD. AGE confirmed in 2000 that the report was never prepared
because the RP did not want to pay for it.
02/17/99 An 8,000-gallon diesel gasoline ID 39-1466-01,an 8,000-gallon premium gasoline
UST ID 39-1466-02,and a 10,000 regular gasoline UST ID 39-1466-03,were
removed at the site on February 18, 1999,and transported to Ecology Control
Industries at 255 Parr Avenue,Richmond,CA 94801. Seven stockpiles were
generated.
02/18/99 Analytical results of the soil sample co ected at the dispenser at 2 feet bsg were 4.5
milligrams per kilograms (mg/kg) of m thyl tert-butyl ether (N=E) and 6.1 mg/kg
of tert-butanol (IBA),and results of the soil samples from the stockpile were 1,200
mg/kg of diesel. Results of samples from the bottom of the UST excavation at 15.5
feet bsg were non-detect for gasoline constituents, oxygenates, or diesel.
03/22/99 Area near the northern dispenser islanc.was over-excavated without a permit or
EHD oversight. EHD considered referring the site to San Joaquin County District
Attorney's office for enforcement action.
03/26/99 Analytical results of the soil samples fr m stockpile S-7 were 2,700 ug/kg of
MTBE,and from S-9 were 24,000 ug/ of TBA.
04/26/99 Unauthorized Release Report (UAR) 99-U32 was filed.
05/06/99 Notice of Reimbursement(NOR)was ailed to responsible party. The site was
reopened and entered into LOP.
07/09/99 Unit III of EHD informed RP to res pie the stockpile by composite two samples
into one if the RP wants to take it off the site and transport it to her ranch instead
of transporting it to Forward Landfill.
12/99 Stockpiles were transported to Forward Landfill sometime
to 05/00 during this period. RP does not recall a exact date.
