1 -- <br /> �= agnascience <br /> 1 ;�. rm I MNW. , M engineers Inc. <br /> • <br /> 1 <br /> November 15, 2000 <br /> 1 Ms Dot Lofstrom <br /> San Joaquin Public Health Services <br /> 1 Environmental Health Division <br /> 304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor <br /> Stockton, CA 95202 <br /> 1 SUBJECT OCTOBER 2000 REMEDIATION SYSTEM EFFECTIVENESS <br />' REPORT <br /> Frank's One Stop Service Station <br /> 2072 West Yosemite Avenue <br />' Manteca, California <br /> Dear Ms Lofstrom <br />' On September 29, 2000, Aqua Science Engineers, Inc (ASE) started an <br /> interim groundwater remediation system at the subject site to control the <br /> lie off-site migration of petroleum hydrocarbons identified in the on-site <br /> groundwater See the ASE "System Installation Report," dated October 2 , <br /> 2000 for complete details regarding the system's installation and start-up <br /> SITE VISITS <br />' As prescribed by the City of Manteca Sewer Discharge Permit Number 00- <br /> 2, ASE was on-site every day for the first fourteen (14) days of operation <br />' to collect effluent water samples for analyses to prove system <br /> effectiveness prior to discharge to the sanitary sewer The 14 days did <br /> I not include weekend days due to the analytical laboratory's inability to <br /> handle and analyze samples on a 24-hour RUSH basis on weekend days <br /> The system was therefore turned off after sample collection on the first <br /> three Fridays and turned back-on on the subsequent Monday After t h e <br /> first 14 days, ASE visited the site on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays <br /> and the system remained on continuously <br /> IAs detailed on the Groundwater Extraction System Daily Field Data Log, <br /> attached in Appendix A, ASE noted the date, time, total gallons treated, <br /> the vacuum influence on each recovery well, the depth to water in two o f <br /> the five recovery wells, and commented on any issues such as system <br /> alarms or shut-offs ASE also performed maintenance procedures as <br /> Frank's One Stop Remediation System Monthly Report — October 2000 <br /> - 1 - <br /> 208 W El Pintodo, DonwIle, Cahformo 94526 • 925-820-9391 Fox 925-837-4853 <br />
