aqua science • BEL - . engineers inr. � � T July 24, 2001 L 110'/ [,70 Leonor and Tony Gonsales JUL 2 7 2001 469 Fishback Road EhfV1R0,V1VjENT HEALTH Manteca, CA 95337 PERM T/SI RV10ES SUBJECT WATER WELL SAMPLING RESULTS 2014 West Yosemite Avenue Manteca, CA 95337 Dear Leonor and Tony Gonsales On June 15, 2001, Aqua Science Engineers, Inc (ASE) collected groundwater samples from the domestic well located on your property at 2014 West Yosemite Avenue in Manteca, California The samples were submitted to Kiff Analytical Laboratory in Davis, California for analysis • Groundwater samples collected from your well contained 60 parts p e r billion (ppb) 1,2-dichloropropane The California Department of Health Services (DHS) has established a maximum contaminant level (MCL) for 1,2-dichloropropane in drinking water of 5 ppb The 1 ,2-dichloropropane concentration detected in groundwater samples collected from your well has exceeded the DHS MCL for drinking water The chemical 1 ,2-dichloropropane has many possible uses including uses as a pesticide, fumigant and degreaser This compound has been detected in several wells in the area and a source has not yet been located If you have any questions regarding 1,2-dichloropropane, please contact Ms Dot Lofstiom of the San Joaquin County Public Health Services at (209) 468- 3436 Since the 1,2-dichloropropane concentration exceeded the DHS MCL for drinking water, ASE highly recommends that you consider using bottled water for drinking and cooking A copy of this letter is being sent to Mr Tony Gonsales, who we understand is the tenant at the site We also understand that there is a second tenant at the site Please notify t h e second tenant of these results and please provide us with the name, address and phone number of the second tenant so that we can directly contact them on future correspondence �'C�8 I l� t1 PrriP��do Da mi.e (--Hdoimn 94 526 • 1)2,5820C'391 + Fc, 925 c374853
