(O&M) activities in relation to the domestic well remediation system <br /> operating at the site <br /> The domestic well remediation system consists of two 250-pound <br /> granulated activated carbon (GAC) canisters plumbed in series <br /> Groundwater is pumped from the well, into the holding tank, then <br /> through the carbon canisters prior to entry into the houses on the <br /> property <br /> On May 14, 2002 ASE collected three water samples as follows <br /> Sample Location <br /> Directly from the well, pre-treatment 17933-INF-05-14-02 <br /> After treatment by the 1st carbon canister 1793 3-GAC I-05-14-02 <br /> After treatment by the 2nd carbon canister 17933-GAC2-05-14-02 <br /> The samples were placed within an ice chest containing wet ice while <br /> transported to Kiff Analytical of Davis, California (ELAP# 2236) under <br /> chain of custody procedures The samples were analyzed for total <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-G), benzene, toluene, <br /> . ethylbenzene, and xylenes (collectively known as BTEX), the five fuel <br /> oxygenates, and lead scavengers by EPA Method 8260B A copy of the <br /> analytical report is attached in Appendix A <br /> - 1 - <br /> 208 W E1 Prntodo, Danville, California 94526 ® 925 820-9391 .
