labeled and stored on ice for transport to Kiff Analytical, LLC of Davis, • California (ELAP #2236) under appropriate chain-of-custody documentation Well sampling field logs are included in Appendix A Well sampling purge water was stored in 55-gallon steel drums, labeled and left on-site for temporary storage until proper off-site disposal can be arranged 4 . 0 GROUNDWATER SAMPLE ANALYSIS The groundwater samples were analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-G), benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, total xylenes (collectively known as BTEX), the fuel oxygenates, 1,2-dichloropropane, and tetrachloroethene by EPA Method 8260B and total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel (TPH-D) by EPA Method 8015 The analytical results for this and previous sampling periods are presented in Table Two The certified analytical report and chain-of-custody documentation are included in Appendix B 5 . 0 DOMESTIC WELL SAMPLING Several domestic wells were sampled by ASE during this quarter Table Three shows tabulated historical and current analytical results of the domestic wells sampled on a quarterly or semi-annual basis 6 . 0 AS/VE SYSTEM On May 13, 2003, ASE re-started operation of an air-sparging/vapor- extraction (AS/VE) remediation system to remediate elevated petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations identified in groundwater and soil beneath the subject site 61 Site Visits During the months of May, June, July, August and September 2003, ASE generally visited the site for operation and maintenance activities two times each week During the site visits, ASE noted the date, time, the vacuum influence on each VE well, the air flow into each of the AS wells, the vacuum flow combined from the VE wells, the IC engine's operating parameters, and commented on any issues such as system alarms or shut- offs hut- offs ASE also performed maintenance procedures as necessary on all • equipment "rank's One Stop Quarterly Report — September 2003 Sampling -3-
