• 1 . 0 INTRODUCTION <br /> This submittal presents Aqua Science Engineers, Inc (ASE)'s addendum t o <br /> ASE's workplan dated September 12, 2003 to conduct additional off-site <br /> groundwater assessment downgradient of Frank's One Stop located a t <br /> 2072 West Yosemite Avenue in Manteca, California This workplan <br /> addendum addresses the RWQCB concerns as presented in their letter <br /> dated September 22, 2003 <br /> CONCERN#1 — PART 1 - ADDITIONAL GROUNDWATER MONITORING WELLS <br /> Per the RWQCB letter and our telephone conversations with the RWQCB, <br /> additional monitoring wells will be added as follows <br /> At the location of CPT-19. <br /> Two additional monitoring wells will be located near this CPT boring One <br /> well will be screened from 9 to 19-feet below ground surface (bgs) a n d <br /> the second well will be screened from 35-50-feet bgs <br /> At the location of CPT-20. <br /> Two additional monitoring wells will be located near this CPT boring O n e <br /> • well will be screened from 9 to 19-feet bgs and the second well will b e <br /> screened from 38-48-feet bgs <br /> At the location of CPT-22. <br /> Four additional monitoring wells will be located near this CPT boring One <br /> well will be screened from 9 to 19-feet bgs, a second well will be screened <br /> from 45 to 60-feet bgs, a third well will be screened from 95 to 100-feet <br /> bgs, and a fourth well will be screened between 155 and 165-feet bgs <br /> At the location of CPT-23- <br /> One additional monitoring well will be located near this CPT boring This <br /> well will be screened between 80 and 85-feet bgs <br /> CONCERN#1 —PART 2 - ANALYSES <br /> The second part of the RWQCB's concern #1 is related to analyses The <br /> RWQCB requests that VOCs, including 1,2-DCA be added for these wells <br /> ASE will add these analyses to the sampling plan <br /> The second analysis requested was lead However, there have never been <br /> . elevated lead concentrations detected at the site In 1995, soil samples <br /> collected from 15-feet bgs in four soil borings adjacent to the <br /> Frank's One Stop Workplan Addendum — October 2003 <br /> A- <br />
