• 1 . 0 INTRODUCTION This submittal presents Aqua Science Engineers, Inc (ASE)'s addendum t o ASE's workplan dated September 12, 2003 to conduct additional off-site groundwater assessment downgradient of Frank's One Stop located a t 2072 West Yosemite Avenue in Manteca, California This workplan addendum addresses the RWQCB concerns as presented in their letter dated September 22, 2003 CONCERN#1 — PART 1 - ADDITIONAL GROUNDWATER MONITORING WELLS Per the RWQCB letter and our telephone conversations with the RWQCB, additional monitoring wells will be added as follows At the location of CPT-19. Two additional monitoring wells will be located near this CPT boring One well will be screened from 9 to 19-feet below ground surface (bgs) a n d the second well will be screened from 35-50-feet bgs At the location of CPT-20. Two additional monitoring wells will be located near this CPT boring O n e • well will be screened from 9 to 19-feet bgs and the second well will b e screened from 38-48-feet bgs At the location of CPT-22. Four additional monitoring wells will be located near this CPT boring One well will be screened from 9 to 19-feet bgs, a second well will be screened from 45 to 60-feet bgs, a third well will be screened from 95 to 100-feet bgs, and a fourth well will be screened between 155 and 165-feet bgs At the location of CPT-23- One additional monitoring well will be located near this CPT boring This well will be screened between 80 and 85-feet bgs CONCERN#1 —PART 2 - ANALYSES The second part of the RWQCB's concern #1 is related to analyses The RWQCB requests that VOCs, including 1,2-DCA be added for these wells ASE will add these analyses to the sampling plan The second analysis requested was lead However, there have never been . elevated lead concentrations detected at the site In 1995, soil samples collected from 15-feet bgs in four soil borings adjacent to the Frank's One Stop Workplan Addendum — October 2003 A-
