Groundwater samples collected from monitoring well MW-13 contained <br /> 9,100 ppb TPH-G, 690 ppb benzene, 4 1 ppb toluene, 560 ppb ethyl <br /> benzene, 8 6 ppb total xylenes, 1,500 ppb MTBE, 7 6 ppb TAME, and 1 ,000 <br /> ppb TBA Groundwater samples collected from monitoring well MW-14 <br /> contained 24 ppb MTBE and 5 2 ppb TBA Groundwater samples collected <br /> from monitoring well MW-15 contained 11 ppb MTBE Groundwater <br /> samples collected from monitoring well MW-19 contained 590 ppb TPH-G, <br /> 0 70 ppb benzene, 77 ppb MTBE and 12 ppb TBA In general, these results <br /> showed a significant decreasing trend in concentrations since the <br /> beginning of remediation <br /> 2.23 May 2001 Treatment System Installation at 1,793a Airport Way <br /> In May 2001, a groundwater treatment system was installed at 17933 <br /> Airport Way Water from the rear well at the property is treated with <br /> granular activated carbon and then used by both houses on the property <br /> The installation of this treatment system utilizing the rear well made t h e <br /> well for the front house unnecessary Since this front well appeared to be <br /> a conduit for the downward movement of MTBE, this well was <br /> subsequently destroyed <br /> 2.24 Alternative Water Sunnly Update <br /> The following residences are no longer receiving an alternative water <br /> supply from AeroPure Water The AeroPure tank was removed from <br /> 17933 Airport Way after the treatment system was installed and proved <br /> operational The AeroPure tank was removed from 17793 Airport Way <br /> due to the fact that MTBE was never identified in that well, water had been <br /> supplied to that well only because of its position in proximity to other <br /> affected wells The AeroPure tank was removed from 17737 Airport Way <br /> after the well was found to be free of MTBE for two consecutive <br /> samplings The AeroPure tank was removed from 17886 Airport Way due <br /> to the fact that MTBE was never identified in that domestic well, water h a d <br /> been supplied to that well only because of its position in proximity to <br /> other affected wells All of the remaining addresses are still receiving <br /> AeroPure Water <br /> 2.25 June 2001 Destruction Qf Domestic Well at 17933 Airport Way <br /> In June 2001, the domestic well located behind the eastern residence at <br /> 17933 Airport Way was destroyed by cutting slots throughout the entire <br /> . length of the casing and filling the casing with neat cement to the ground <br /> surface <br /> Frank's One Stop Remedial Action Plan — August 2001 <br /> -11- <br />
