1 <br /> 2�_ PmhPr 2000 In im Remediation Svstem _T1�„s_t�llaJl�n <br /> In 000 ASE installed two new groundwater extraction <br /> September 2 <br /> (recovery) wells at the site and converted three piezometers into recovery <br /> wells A "pump and treat" interim groundwater remediation system was <br /> installed and began operation on September 29, 2000 <br /> 2. 1 -5 SCj2tVjDber 2000 Alternative Water Source for Impacted I!rope-rties <br /> In September 2000, each domestic well impacted by MTBE or 1,2-DCA was <br /> disconnected from the home plumbing The home plumbing was then <br /> connected to water tanks, which are regularly filled with water from t h e <br /> City of Manteca This temporary solution will remain in place until a <br /> more permanent solution can be implemented <br /> 3 . 0 SCOPE OF WORK (SOW) <br /> Based on the site history and discussions regarding the site with Mr <br /> Ronald Rowe and Ms Margaret Lagorio of the San Joaquin County PHS- <br /> EHD, ASE developed the following scope of work <br /> 1 Obtain the necessary drilling Permit from San Joaquin County <br /> PHS- <br /> EHD and an encroachment permit from the City of Manteca to drill in <br /> Airport Way and West Yosemite Avenue <br /> 2 ) Drill two (2) soil borings at the site to approximately 120-feet b g s <br /> using a CPT One of these borings will be drilled near monitoring <br /> well MW-13 and the other boring will be drilled near the eastern <br /> property line <br /> 3 ) Drill two (2) soil borings at the site to approximately 70-feet bgs <br /> using a hollow-stem auger drill rig for the installation of monitoring <br /> wells to be screened approximately 55 to 70-feet bgs These borings <br /> will be located near the CPT borings described in task 2 <br /> 4 ) Drill one (1) soil boring at the site to approximately 115-feet bgs. <br /> using a hollow-stem auger drill rig for the installation of a <br /> monitoring well to be screened approximately 100 to 115-feet bgs <br /> The primary purpose of this well is to provide a non-linear point to <br /> determine the groundwater flow direction in this deeper zone This <br /> . well will also allow for the monitoring of the vertical extent of <br /> groundwater contamination at that location <br /> Franks One Stop Report — November 2000 <br />
