l Y . 0 INTRODUCTION • This report presents Aqua Science Engineers Inc (ASE 's survey of wells located within a 2,000-foot radius of Frank's One Stop located at 2072 West Yosemite Avenue in Manteca California (Figure 1) This survey was requested by the San Joaquin County Department of Health Services, Environmental Health Division 2 . 0 SCOPE OF WORK ASE's scope of work for this project was as follows 1 ) Review all available records from the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) to determine the location, use and construction of wells located within a 2,000-foot radius of the site 2 ) Contact the cities of Manteca and Lathrop to determine what properties are serviced by public water 3 ) Contact cities and industries within the 2,000-foot radius to find large pumping influences within 2,000-feet of the side !� 4 ) Complete door to door survey as many (40+) small parcels with domestic wells existing surrounding the site 5) Prepare maps and tables showing the location and construction of wells in the site vicinity The task utilized information obtained in the DWR record search and information contained in the incomplete area well survey prepared by Remedy, Inc Boring logs and construction documents for all wells will be included when available 3 . 0 RECORD SEARCH 3 - 1 Da=tmant of Water Resourccs (DWR) All available records at the DWR office in Sacramento were reviewed for township, range, and sections within a 2,000-foot radius of the site A total of 54 Water Well Drilling Reports were on file for these sections However, only one of these wells was actually located within 2,000-feet at the site It should be noted that there is a ten year backlog of records at the DWR, and recent records may not have been available This does not explain, however, why so many of the records for older wells in the site . vicinity were not available The DWR report for the one well within the Franks One Stop Report - June 1999 - 1 -
