Considering that a new plant with
adequate capacity will be constructed in the next two years , and
that the City is taking interim actions to minimize the problem,
we approve of the reports ' conclusions to add an additional 80
acres of disposal land and limit the total allowable wet weather
flow to 3 . 4 million gallons per day based upon the following
conditions:
1 . Compliance with the conditions stated in the enclosed
memorandum from the Department of Health Services.
2 . The work required to add 44 on-site acres to the available
disposal fields will be completed before the coming winter.
3. Construction of the solids handling facilities which are to
be a part of the new plant will be expedited.
Additionally , please send us a copy of the final version of the
growth restriction ordinance which we understand was recently
approved by the City Council .
Please call Gary Reents, Area Engineer, at ( 916) 322-8890 if you
have any questions.
KENNETH D.
