t <br /> Advanced <br /> GeoEnvironmental, Inc - <br /> 01 December 2004 <br /> AGE-NC Project No. 97-0351 <br /> Mr. Harlin Knoll <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department 6 <br /> 304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor <br /> Stockton, California 95202 <br /> Subject: Monitoring Well Abandonment Work Plan <br /> FIVE STAR MARINA <br /> 345 Yosemite Street, Stockton, California <br /> Dear Mr. Knoll: <br /> On behalf of Mr.Terry McDonald,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.has prepared this Monitoring <br /> Well Abandonment Work Plan for the destruction of temporary well MW-UST at Five Star Marina <br /> located at 345 Yosemite Street,Stockton,California(Figure 1).The status of the temporary well was <br /> brought to AGE's attention by San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) <br /> personnel during quarterly monitoring field work on 22 October 2004. <br /> Temporary well MW-UST (Figure 2) will be abandoned by over-drilling to total depth of the well <br /> utilizing a truck-mounted drill rig equipped with 8.25-inch hollow stem augers and backfilling with <br /> portland cement.The boring will be backfilled to surface grade using Type UII portland neat cement <br /> and not more than 6 gallons of water per 94-pound sack of cement. The well box will be removed, <br /> and the remaining space will be filled to surface grade with cement or concrete. All down-hole <br /> drilling equipment will be pressure washed prior to starting each boring. Cuttings and rinseate <br /> generated during drilling activities will be containerized in properly labeled DOT-approved 55- <br /> gallon drums, and stored on-site in an area lacking public access. <br /> EHD will be notified at least 48-hours prior to conducting well abandonment activities.
