TPH-g and BTEX were reported in soil samples collected from the
probe borings at concentrations as high as 2,100 mg/kg and 14 ri /kg (xylenes), respectively.
Y•
Hydrocarbon-impacted soil associated with the East UST arealappea.red
to be limited to the former
dispenser area(southern edge of Lindsay Street), and to a depth of 16 feet to 17 feet bsg, in the
saturated soil below the:ground water table.
TPH-g was reported in six of eleven grab groundwater samples collected from the East UST area
at concentrations ranging from 53 pg/1 to 100,000 pg/l. BTEX was reported in eight of eleven
samples analyzed at concentrations ranging from 0.55 µg/l to,1,700'µg/1:
On 15 and 16 April 2008, four ground water monitoring wells MW-10 through MW-13 were
installed on-site to assess the vertical and lateral extent of contamination near the-former eastern
UST location.. MW10 through MW13 were completed as ground water monitoring wells using
2-inch diameter polyvinylchloride (PVC) casing with a 0.020-inch slotted screen installed from 5
feet to 20 feet bsg(MW-10 through MW712) and 28 feet to 33'feet bsg (MW-13).
Soil samples collected from MW 10 at 20 feet bsg(MW-10-20)and from boring MW 13(MW-13-30)
at 30 feet bsg reported TPH-g at concentrations of 2.4 milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg) and
2.8 mg/kg, respectively.
Ground water samples collected during well development from wells MW-10 and MW-13 at
concentrations of 3,200 micrograms per liter(µg/1)and 5,100 pg/1,respectively.One or more BTEX
compounds were reported in wells MW-10 and MW-13 at maximum concentrations of 15 pg/1
benzene, 3.1 pg/l toluene, 73 µg/l ethylbenzene, and 60 µg/l total xylenes in well MW-13; TAME
was reported at 10 µg/l in well MW-13.
Advanced GcoEnvironmental,Inc.
