Additionally, TPH-mo was reported
in B-5, below the detection limit, at a concentration of 43.0 mg/kg; in the lab report
the detection is listed as: trace concentration between the method detection limit
and practical quantitation limit.
• TPH-g, TPH-d, and TPH-mo were not detected above laboratory reporting limits in
the soil samples collected at 5 feet bsg from S7, S8, S9, and S11.
• Chromium was detected by TTLC analysis in the soil samples analyzed at
concentrations ranging between 54.1 mg/kg and 89 mg/kg.
• Based on the chromium TTLC results, 17 soil samples were analyzed by STLC
analysis for chromium. Chromium was detected by STLC analysis in the soil
samples analyzed at concentrations ranging between 0.063 mg/I and 1.20 mg/I.
All the results were below the California Hazardous Waste Limit of 5.0 mg/I for
chromium.
• Lead was detected by TTLC analysis in the soil samples analyzed at
concentrations ranging between 4.03 mg/kg and 189 mg/kg.
• Based on the lead TTLC results, 3 soil samples were analyzed by STLC analysis
for lead. Lead was detected by STLC analysis in the soil samples analyzed at
concentrations of 7.25 mg/I (S5-2), 2.20 mg/I (SP -1) and 2.83 mg/I (SP4). The
STLC concentration detected in sample S5-2 was above the California Hazardous
Waste Limit of 5.0 mg/I for lead; the other two samples were below the 5.0 mg/I
limit.
• Various additional CAM 17 metals were detected in the soil samples. However, all
detections were within normal background levels for metals in California soils
(Background Concentrations of Metals, a Progress Report, DTSC Geological
Services Unit, Glendale and Background Concentrations of Trace and Major
Elements in California Soils: Kearney Foundation of Soil Science Division of
Agriculture and Natural Resources University of California, March 1996).
• TPH-g, PCBs, VOCs, and SVOCs were not detected above laboratory reporting
limits in the samples analyzed for the constituents.
Analytical results of all soil samples are summarized in Table 1. Additionally, each
analytes respective ESL, DTSC-SL, RSL, and California Hazardous Waste Limit is listed
in Table 1. The laboratory reports (Enviro Chem, Inc. Lab I.D.: 180815, 180906, and
181102), quality assurance/quality control report and chain of custody form are included
in Appendix C.
6.0. CONCLUSIONS
Based upon the investigation performed at the site in August 2018, AGE provides the
following conclusions:
