LABORATORY ANALYSIS Selected soil samples (appropriate for each evaluation and chemical source) will be analyzed by a CDPH-certified laboratory for the following constituents: • Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline, diesel and oil range compounds (TPH-g, d, o) in accordance with EPA Method 8015 Modified; • Volatile organic compounds (VOCs), including chlorinated VOCs and "BTEX" compounds and fuel additives/fuel oxygenates (methyl tertiary butyl ether [MTBE], tertiary butyl alcohol [TBA], di-isopropyl ether [DIPE], ethyl tertiary butyl ether [ETBE], tertiary amyl methyl ether [TAME] and lead scavengers 1,2-dichloroethane [1,2-DCA] and 1,2-dibromomethane [EDB]) in accordance with EPA Method 8260B; • Polychlorinated bi-phenols (PCBs) in accordance with EPA Method 8082. • Polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (PNAs) or polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and semi-volatile organic compounds (SVOCs) in accordance with EPA Method 8270; • CAM 17 Metals Total Threshold Limit Concentration (minimally: lead, cadmium, chromium, nickel and zinc) by EPA Method 6010B/6020/207/208. Soluble Threshold Limit Concentration may additionally be analyzed for metals. Laboratory reports for analyses, testing methods, laboratory quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reports, and sample chain-of-custody documentation will be presented in a report with the findings and recommendations. 4.6. EQUIPMENT DECONTAMINATIONIWASTE MANAGEMENT All sampling tools used for sample collection will be thoroughly rinsed with clean water after being washed with a solution of Alconox. All rinseate generated during field activities will be properly containerized in a DOT-approved 55-gallon drum and stored on-site in an area lacking public access. Soil will be covered to prevent exposure. Disposal alternatives will be evaluated based on results of soil analysis. 4.7. REPORTING The results of the investigation will be submitted in a report. The report will include a description of work performed and the results of soil sampling. Conclusions and recommendations will also be included in the reports, if applicable. Reports will be in a format acceptable to regulatory guidelines, and will be reviewed and signed by a California Professional Geologist.
