INTRODUCTION
' At the request of Mr Terry McDonald of the Five Star Manna,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc
(AGE) has prepared the enclosed Quarterly Report for 345 Yosemite Street, Stockton, California
The scope of work included measuring ground water elevations and sampling six ground water
' monitoring wells for laboratory analysis The objective of the investigation was to monitor
hydrocarbon-impacted ground water at the site The site and its surroundings are illustrated on Figure
I Structures, probe boring, soil sample and monitoring well locations are shown on Figure 2
Site history and findings from previous investigations and previous monitoring events at the site
were summarized in Quarterly Report, 26 May 1998, prepared by AGE
20 PROCEDURES
The investigation was conducted in accordance with the Central Valley Region of the Regional
Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) and the San Joaquin County Public Health Services -
' Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) guidelines for the subsurface investigation of
underground storage tank (UST) sites
' 2 1 GROUND WATER MONITORING AND SAMPLING
' On 02 March 2000, a Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in
each well relative to the tops of the well casings '
After ground water depth measurements were collected, monitoring wells MW-1 through MW- 6
were purged using a two-stage submersible pump Approximately 8 gallons of water, a minimum
of three saturated casing volumes of water were evacuated from each well Temperature, pH and
conductivity(field parameters of ground water) were measured at 2-gallon intervals using an ICM
model 52200 water analyzer Field data and logs are included in Appendix A
22 GROUND WATER SAMPLE COLLECTION
After purging, ground water levels in the monitoring wells achieved a minimum of 80 percent
recharge prior to sample collection Water samples were collected from each purged well using new,
' clean, disposable plastic bailers Immediately upon retrieval, samples were transferred into chilled
• 40-m1 EPA-approved volatile organic analysis (VOA) vials containing 0 5 ml hydrochloric acid
(18%) as a sample preservative and additional sample from each well was transferred into chilled
